Fee System And How To Join

CIB Fee System

All CIB Members pay an annual membership fee. In the CIB Fee System six Fee Levels are defined. In the case of a new Member the CIB General Secretariat in communication with the Members of the CIB Administrative Committee decides on the fee level to be assigned to the new CIB Member based on the following three principles:
    • the more an organisation is able to profit from its CIB Membership, the higher the fee level to be assigned to the organisation
    • the fee level as assigned by CIB is a minimum level. A Member may ask to have a higher fee level assigned. This can for example be the case if a Member is allowed according to the CIB Fee System to be an Associate Member, but prefers to be a Full Member.
The actual amounts for each Fee Level are established by the CIB Board and confirmed by the CIB General Assembly.
Organisations being a Full or an Associate Member can appoint an unlimited number of staff members to be members of CIB Working Commissions or Task Groups.
All CIB members have unlimited access to information in the CIB Home Page (through a password).
In the following illustration the details of the CIB Fee System are given.
Membership will be automatically renewed each calendar year in January.
