Best Coordinators Award 2010-2013
The CIB Programme Committee awards the 2010-2013 Best Coordinators Award to Prof Dr Jay Yang and Prof Dr Ir Andy van den Dobbelsteen in appreciation for their inspiring leadership of CIB Commission W116 - Smart and Sustainable Built Environments.
CIB Honorary Membership - Professor Peter Barrett
The CIB Board granted a lifelong Honorary Membership to Peter Barrett in appreciation of his many contributions as Commission Coordinator, Board Member, Chair of the CIB Programme Committee, President, Main Organizer of the 2010 CIB World Building Congress and Immediate Past President.
CIB Construction & Society Award for SB Conference Series
At the CIB World Building Congress the first ever CIB Construction & Society Award was given to the SB - Sustainable Building - Conference series for its most relevant and successful contribution to the theme of Construction & Society through Research and Innovation for Building and Construction.
New CIB Officers, Board Members and Committee Members for the Term 2013 - 2016
During the tri-annual General Assembly in Brisbane, Australia, the Board was elected for the period 2013 - 2016. This includes the President, two Vice Presidents, the Treasurer and Chairs of the Administrative and Programme Committee and other Board Members.

Invitation to be part of a 2nd Survey in support of: CTBUH - CIB - UNESCO Roadmap on the Future Research Needs of Tall Buildings
The people involved in the construction, design, planning, consultancy, development, ownership, maintenance, operation and research of tall buildings are invited to complete a second questionnaire to prioritize these topics based on two factors: importance and maturity of the topics.

W056 - Sandwich Panels: European Recommendations on the Stabilization of Steel Structures by Sandwich Panels
This document gives information about the use of self-supporting sandwich panels as stabilizing elements for single steel members such as beams or columns. The document extends the application range of sandwich panels to construction class II according to EN 1993-1-3.
W056 - Sandwich Panels: Preliminary European Recommendations for the Design of Sandwich Panels with Openings A state of the Art Report
This report includes current information about the influence of openings on the behaviour and resistance of sandwich panels. With this report, it is intended to complete the directions given in the European product standard EN 14509. This report introduces aspects on the mechanical design of sandwich panels.
