The CIB Programme Committee has appointed Mr. Geir K. Hansen NTNU, Norway the New Coordinator of W111 on Usability of Workplaces. He expects that Usability related to healthcare and wellbeing will be an important issue.

Conference Report: SB13 Southern Africa held in October 2013 in Cape Town, South Africa
This SB conference was on-going in various regions, both in developed and developing countries. The delegates were able to exchange ideas and transfer knowledge that addresses regeneration, adaptation, resilience, climate change and sustainability within the context of the built environment.

CIB World Building Congress 2016, 30 May - 3 June 2016 in Tampere, Finland - Picture 1 of 20
Tampere is the largest inland city in the Nordic countries and the venue for the CIB World Building Congress in 2016. The city lies between two large lakes that are linked together by the Tammerkoski rapids that run through the city centre. It’s a small enough city to have everything within walking distance!

Proceedings of SB13 Portugal: Contribution of Sustainable Building to meet EU 20-20-20 Targets
The conference targets, known as the “EU 20-20-20” targets, set three key objectives for 2020: A 20% reduction in EU greenhouse gas emissions from 1990 levels; raising the share of EU energy consumption produced from renewable resources to 20%; a 20% improvement in the EU's energy efficiency.
