New working commission: W121
The CIB Board established a new working commission W121, which provides a bespoke developmental platform for shaping future research in offsite construction. The Working Commission will focus on high impact, high value issues - especially the efficiencies and challenges associated with its implementation.

Call for papers: special BRI-issue Overheating in Buildings
You are invited to submit an abstract for a journal paper in this special issue of Building Research and Information, which will highlight emerging research and compare international variations in responses to overheating. Deadline: 6 November 2015.
Special issue BRI: Physical activity, sedentary behavior and the indoor built environment
This special issue presents new research examining the potential in the design, management and operation of the indoor built environment to achieve this for a variety of different demographics and contexts. Guest editors: Alexi Marmot and Marcella Ucci.

CIB Sebestyen Future Leaders Award Winner 2015
The CIB Student Chapter Committee has declared the CIB Student Chapter at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Faculty of Construction & Environment, winner of the 2015 CIB Sebestyen Future Leaders Award. The title of the project is: Measuring safety climate in China’s construction project.
New Student Chapter Curtin University, Australia
A new Student Chapter at Curtin University has been established. It aims to engage with the cutting-edge research and development in CIB Commissions and Task Groups, and to network with other CIB Student Chapters across the Asia-Pacific region and globally.

A new Student Chapter at Free State, Central University of Technology has been established. One of its aims is to provide targeted forums for disseminating and sharing of research skills and research findings for the benefits of its members.

A new Student Chapter at Porto University, Faculty of Engineering (FEUP) has been established. It aims to enhance postgraduates students' skills, particularly in regards to international collaboration and information exchange concerning research and innovation in the built environment.
