Around Commissions
CIB IICON Survey
You are invited to participate in CIB survey for the research roadmap of TG90 Information Integration in Construction. The survey should take less than 10 minutes. This Task Group was set up in 2014. One of its outputs is a Research Roadmap, which will formulate an agenda for new R&D projects and/or initiatives that focus on information and knowledge integration in construction.
CIB Webinar available CIB TG83 e-Business in Construction
On 13th of September the CIB Task Group TG83 e-Business in Construction held a Webinar on: Lessons for the future of data describing buildings and their performance. The Webinar is now available for free on the CIB Secretariat YouTube Channel.
New CIB Commission TG94 - Healthy Town
The CIB board has established a new Commission in August: TG94 – Heathy Town. The Commission has a mandate until the end of 2020.The commission will be coordinated by Prof Lei Zhang from the China National Engineering Research Center for Human Settlements (CNERCHS) in Beijing, China.
Service Life Prediction - New Projects
CIB Commission W080 Prediction of Service Life of Building Materials and Components, started four new Commission Projects. The Project Elaborations are now available. CIB Members are invited to participate.

CIB New President
The CIB Board appointed Richard Tremblay the new President of CIB for the remainder of the 2016 – 2019 term. Richard Tremblay is the General Manager of the Construction portfolio at the National Research Council (NRC) in Canada.

The ASOCSA Built Environment conference series is steadily becoming one of the leading built environment conferences on the African continent. Authors are invited to submit structured abstracts in English of not more than 150 words for peer review by the Scientific and Technical Committee by not later than November 30, 2017.
