Image1A description of the preparatory CIB activities in 2000/2001 that have resulted in the definition of this CIB Priority Theme can be found here. This includes hyperlinks to downloadable copies of preparatory workshop reports and of the CIB Revaluing Construction Strategy.
 
Important first components of the CIB RC Strategy are the series of international RC Conferences and a multitude of coordinated CIB Commissions' contributions, about which information can be found here. This includes hyperlinks to the 2 Conferences' designated websites with downloadable copies of presentations given at the Conferences and of Conference reports.

A designated CIB RC Website is on behalf of CIB developed and maintained by the University of Salford, and includes amongst others: the CIB RC Newsletter, the global RC Agenda and information about national RC reform programmes.

Revaluing Construction Conference The third in the series of CIB Revaluing Construction Conferences was held in October 2007 in Copenhagen, Denmark and Malmö, Sweden, with conference information provided here.



Journal on Construction Innovation - Special Issue: Global Responses to the Need for Innovation in the Construction Industry - Call for Papers
A recent debate at the CIB World Congress in the UK presented an interesting hypothesis for discussion, namely, "Construction is a Low Innovation Sector". Global exemplars and case studies reflecting either 'low' or 'high' innovation perspectives are particularly encouraged for papers.

TG76 - Recognising Innovation in Construction: Website and Debate Report
TG76 held a well attended debate at the CIB World Congress on the motion that 'Construction is a low innovation sector'. The debate was followed by the TG76 business meeting, which has set out a full programme of work for the next two years. The TG76 website contains podcasts of the debate position.
