Per August 2009 CIB has the following Special Interest Groups in place:
- RMM: the CIB Research Managers' Meeting: a regualr meetinginwhich CEO's of national research instututes in building and construction meet and in an informal setting exchange information on issues of joint intrest
- ICCF: the International Construction Clients' Forum: a meeting of senior managers of internationaly oriented client agencies and of national client associations in building and construction,
- Post Graduates: a worldwide information exchange and cooperation network for postgraduate students with a special interest in building and construction research and innovation.
