TG66 - Energy and the Built Environment: New Focus and Action Plan
TG66 has decided to focus on the Implementation of Energy Efficient Buildings Policies in 5 continents. The Task Group Action Programme includes an intercontinental comparative analysis, a community website, a seminar and a series of virtual meetings.
TG76 - Recognising Innovation in Construction: Newly Established
The research objectives of this Task Group are to define the concept and scale of innovation in construction in various contexts; to develop a robust methodology to investigate and measure the impacts of innovation; and to develop existing innovation theories for the built environment.
W089 - Building Research and Education: ASC2009 45th Annual Conference in cooperation with W089, held in April 2009, Gainesville, Florida, USA
This conference by the USA based Associated Schools of Construction provided the platform to start developing an enhanced cooperation with CIB W089. A W089-led workshop on international collaborative research addressed structures and opportunities that already exist.
W102 - Information and Knowledge Management in Building: Conference Report "Deconstructing Babel" Sharing Global Construction Knowledge, Brazil, June 2009
The conference's main interest was in discussing and publicising the advancements in theoretical and practical applications for the information and knowledge management in the civil construction space. The event’s main focus was on the issue of integration among different languages and domains.
W115 - Construction Materials Stewardship: Report of 1st International Conference "Construction Materials Stewardship 2009"
CMS2009 had three major unique features: active involvement of the construction industry during the kick off industry session as well as during de debate and reflection session; students presentations in a interactive virtual reality lab at the University Twente; and art and science exhibition.
W115 - Construction Materials Stewardship: Report of the Commission Meeting, Enschede, The Netherlands, 14 June 2009
At this meeting several Commission projects were discussed. Furthermore there were national reportings related to Construction Materials Stewardship from the United Kingdom, Japan, Norway and Singapore. The next meeting of W115 will be held in the summer of 2010 in Beijing, China.

The Third Conference on Building Pathology and Rehabilitation (PATORREB-2009), held in March 2009, Porto, Portugal
The goal of the conference was to exchange information on construction pathology, with particularly areas such as responsibilities and guarantees and insurance; structural pathologies; stone, wood, mortar and concrete pathologies; and hygrothermal behaviour of buildings.

W062 - Water Supply and Drainage: 35th International Symposium. Düsseldorf, Germany, 7-9 September 2009
Topics will include: management and maintenance of water systems, commissioning, non destructive techniques, water conditioning, health and hygienic aspects; sustainable construction, water conservation, rainwater and grey water reuse; hydraulics of water systems.
W098 - Intelligent and Responsive Buildings: International Workshop "Intelligence in Assisted Homes", Belgium, 24-25 September 2009
The focus will be on assistive technologies: products on the market and view into the future and a closer look will be taken at telehealth and tele-care. The target group consists of construction industry professionals and the health care industry as well as health and social care organisations.
CIB Co-Sponsored: International Conference on Green Building - Towards Eco-City 2009, Taipei, Taiwan, 11-14 October 2009
Papers are invited on a.o. the following topics: Green Building Policy and Initiative, Building and Energy Saving, Water Resources and Ecological Environment, Waste Reduction, Indoor Environment Quality, Evaluation System and Tools, and Eco-technology and Program Planning Theories.
TG66 - Energy and the Built Environment: Brussels International Seminar 2009, Brussels, Belgium, 14 October 2009
In the context of an ambitious plan of activities with a focus on intercontinental comparison of policies in support of energy efficient buildings TG66 will have its first International Seminar. Contributions will among others be presented by the European Community and the International Energy Agency.
CIB Co-Sponsored: International ECCE Conference "EUROINFRA 2009", Current State and Challenges for Sustainable Development of Infrastructure, Helsinki, Finland, 15-16 October 2009
The Conference will consist of two parallel Symposia on "State Analysis and Condition Management of Buildings and Civil Infrastructure" and "Low-Energy Building Concepts". The final detailed conference programme is now available, plus information on invited keynote speakers.
W089 - Building Research and Education: Special Track CIB World Building Congress 2010, Salford Quays, United Kingdom, May 2010
W089 will be exploring the special track on the theme of 'International Collaboration in Higher Education and Research'. Topics will include: Internationalization of Higher Education; Teaching, Learning and Assessment; and University-Industry Linkages.

The Symposium will cover five broadly defined areas, including (not exclusively) Automation & Robotics Applications; Robot Technology; Automated Data Acquisition & Monitoring; Information & Computational Technology; and Management and Social Issues.
International CIB Student Chapter Conference 2010, Budapest, Hungary, 30 September - 2 October 2010
The conference themes are: Liveable city; Environmentally conscious, energy efficient building; Architectural culture - Architectural renewal and preservation; and other topics. In addition to the scientific programme, social programmes will also be offered.

W115 - Construction Materials Stewardship: Conference Proceedings Lifecycle Design of Buildings, Systems and Materials
The free downloadable papers focus on various aspects of Materials Stewardship, including: design for transformation and reuse of buildings, systems and materials; design of systems to avoid construction material waste; adaptable architecture; deconstruction; and sustainable management of buildings.
TG59 - People in Construction: Proceedings of the Conference - People in Construction
The first TG59 conference that took place in July 2009, Port Elizabeth, South Africa provided an international forum for researchers and practitioners from developed, developing and underdeveloped nations to address fundamental problems and constraints that affect people in construction.
