New Commission TG93: Building Zero Energy Settlements
The CIB board established the new working Task Group 93. Objectives are to develop research and industry practices, focusing on integrated methods that enable innovative solutions for zero energy settlements, and to stimulate cooperation and information dissemination in support of technology deployment.
Smart Cities Roadmap open for comments
On February 23, 2016 Task Group TG88 held a consultation webinar on the Smart Cities Roadmap. The concept roadmap is open for comments until April 10, 2016. The consultation webinar as well as the concept roadmap can now be downloaded.
W117 New Joint Commission Coordinator
The CIB Programme Committee has appointed Prof Sicco Santema as Joint Coordinator of Working Commission W117: Performance Measurement in Construction.
W121 Workshop on Offsite Construction
On June 1st, 2016 CIB Commission W121 Offsite Construction will hold its inaugural workshop in Tampere, Finland. It will reflect on the findings and roadmap developed in its predecessor TG74, and focus on shaping future research in Offsite Construction.

Regional CIB Office for South East Asia
CIB has established it’s 8th Regional Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It will cover Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Brunei. In 2016 it will host a first South East Asian Regional CIB Conference.

CESB16: Innovations for Sustainable Future
From June 22 to June 24, 2016 the CESB16 Conference will be held in Prague, Czech Republic. Objectives of the CESB16 is to present current activities in sustainable building in Central Europe, and to bring ideas and international expertise in the region in order to contribute to further development.

Online registration for the WBC16 Congress in Tampere, Finland is now open. The theme for CIB World Building Congress 2016 is Intelligent built environment for life. It highlights the importance of build environment and its development to society. CIB members are offered a reduced fee till April 4th, 2016.
SEB16 Hamburg Conference
From March 8 to March 11, 2016 the CIB supported SBE16 Conference will take place Hamburg, Germany. Aim of SBE16 Hamburg is to showcase new and innovative concepts of sustainability in the building sector and the sustainable development of neighbourhoods.
