CIB New Coordinator W070 - Facilities Management and Maintenance
In May 2017 the CIB Programme Committee appointed Tore Haugen as New Coordinator of the CIB Commission W070 – Facilities Management and Maintenance. He will replace Prof Dr Keith Jones who will end his work as a coordinator.
CIB New Joint Coordinator W113 - Law and Dispute Resolution
In April 2017 the CIB Programme Committee appointed Jennifer Charlson as Joint Coordinator of the CIB Commission W113 – Law and Dispute Resolution. Jennifer Charlson is qualified as a Chartered Engineer and Solicitor with an MBA. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Architecture and Built Environment School at the University of Wolverhampton.
TG88 - Smart Cities New Programme
The TG88 Mandate has been extended until the middle of 2019.The selected and analysed Smart City solutions will be published in a book that will be launched at the 2019 CIB Building Congress.

CIB Symposium: Resilience to Climate Change and Flooding
In association with the Global Disaster Resilience Centre (GDRC) and the CIB, the School of Art, Design and Architecture at the University of Huddersfield organised a one-day symposium on climate change and flooding on the 6th of April 2017, at the Sir George Buckley Theatre, University of Huddersfield.

SBE 2019 Conference: Expressions of Interest
This is a request for expressions of interest (EOI) for national or regional conferences to be held during 2019 and focused on sustainable built environment issues. These events will form part of the on-going SBE series of conferences, which has been underway since 2000, and is sponsored by five international co-promoters, CIB, iiSBE, UNEP-SBCI, FIDIC and the Global Alliance for Building and Construction. The deadline is June 2, 2017
IFireSS 2017 Symposium
The 2nd International Fire Safety Symposium 2017 (IFireSS 2017) is held in Naples (Italy), from 7th to 9th of June 2017, at the Federico II Convention Centre, Via Parthenope.The symposium integrates Fire science, Engineering practice and Design methodologies for a safe and sustainable built environment.
